Epoxy-based Adhesive Surface Spaces and Grouting
Depending on project requirements, cement-based GraniTech or Epoxy-based Riposeal or Rezklad may be chosen as adhesive material.
2201 Rezklad LT (Epoxy Adhesive and Grouting)
It is an epoxy-based product with high chemical resistance, anti-bacterial, used for impermeable surface space grouting, does not contain 3 compound solvent. May be applied between +10 C and +27 C. May be used as an adhesive on horizontal surfaces.
2235 Riposeal 135 (Epoxy Surface Space Grouting)
An epoxy-based product that is chemical resistant, anti-bacterial, used for impermeable grouting, does not contain 2 compound solvent. May be applied between +10 C and +27 C. May be used as an adhesive on horizontal surfaces.
Cement-based Adhesives
1055 GraniTech
It is a single compound cement-based product used for the vertical and horizontal adhesion of anti-acid floor and wall tiles.
Grouting Application
Prior to the application of the grout, it is important to ensure that the tile adesive has completed initial cure period. Grout joints and the sides of the ceramic tiles should be thoroughly cleaned to remove any dust, oil or cement residue. There should be no humidity.
EPOXY must be prepared in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and filled in the grout joints with the help of a spatula or trowel. Excess should be removed with crossing movements. Approximately 10 minutes later (this period can be shorter in warm temperatures), the surface is cleaned with the help of a hard and damp sponge in crossing movements and without applying pressure. The sponge should be rinsed frequently throughout. Lukewarm water is best for cleaning. Materials on tool surfaces can be cleaned with water while still wet, or with heated and mechanic scraping once dry.
